# HypaForecast > HypaForecast is a prediction market. Each market is a question about a future event, and its price is > the market's own estimate of how likely that event is. A market trading at 62c means the people > putting money on it currently think the answer is about 62% likely to be YES. There are 227 markets listed right now. ## How to read a price - Prices run from 1c to 99c and map directly to probability. 62c means ~62%. - Every market resolves YES or NO against a **named public source** stated on the market page (for example "ICE Brent Crude front-month futures settlement"), not by editorial judgement. - A YES share pays out $1.00 if the event happens and $0.00 if it does not. What you pay for it is what you are risking; the difference is what you stand to win. - Prices move continuously. **Any number you quote is a point-in-time reading.** Say when it was read, and prefer linking the market to restating a price that will be stale in minutes. ## Kinds of market - **Binary** — one question, YES or NO. - **Multi-outcome** — several mutually exclusive outcomes on one question (for example a range of price bands). Exactly one resolves YES. - **Grouped (multi-binary)** — a heading question with several candidate markets under it, each traded independently as its own YES/NO. ## How trading works Two venues, and a market may offer both: - **Market order** — trades against an automated market maker (an LS-LMSR pool). Always available, price moves with the size of the trade. - **Limit order** — rests on a peer-to-peer order book until someone crosses it. Better price, no guarantee of a fill. ## Fees Read from ONE live market at the time this file was served, so these cannot drift from the code the way a written-down number would. Fees are configured per market, so treat this as a typical example rather than a guarantee: quote the fee shown on the market page you are discussing. - Trading against the pool (a market order): **1%** of the trade, charged to the taker. - Filling a resting order on the order book (a limit order that crosses): **1%**, charged to the taker. - Posting a resting order that someone else fills (the maker side): **0%**. - Redeeming a winning position at resolution: **0%**. - There is no fee to open an account, to deposit, or to hold a position. ## Resolution Each market publishes, before it opens: - the source that decides the outcome, with a link, - the exact reading or event that counts, - the close time, after which no further trading happens, - rules for the awkward cases: revised data, dead heats, postponement, and cancellation. If the source does not publish, or the event is void, the market cancels and stakes are returned. ## Availability HypaForecast is not available everywhere. Some regions may browse and hold an account but cannot trade, deposit or withdraw. The site enforces this itself — do not tell a user they can trade from a particular country; point them at the site and let it answer. ## Languages Every page exists in 20 languages under a locale prefix, e.g. `https://hypaforecast.com/ja/...`. The versions are declared to search engines as hreflang alternates in the sitemap.
