Which prediction markets can you use from Nigeria?
Bayse and Luno Prediction Markets have documented Nigerian-user funding and withdrawal routes. Bayse describes a Naira account with bank transfers; Luno explicitly includes Nigeria in its Prediction Markets offering and documents Nigerian verification and bank payments. Account approval and local legal requirements still apply; the routes are not promises of successful verification or permission in every Nigerian state. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
HypaForecast accepts Nigerian residents aged 18 or over, without KYC or identity-document uploads. Funding is crypto-only: send USDC on Solana directly to HypaForecast, or use a supported LI.FI route to convert other crypto before HypaForecast receives USDC on Solana. Withdrawals require an external receiving wallet address. NGN bank transfers and card deposits are not supported. [31]
Signal by Busha has a documented Nigeria offering, but its complete cash-out route still needs confirmation. For Polymarket international and Kalshi, the evidence below does not establish the entire Nigerian account-to-withdrawal journey. “Not verified” is not the same as “unavailable.” [6]
This guide covers platforms where you take paid positions on outcomes—not football-tip subscriptions, forecast feeds or claims of prediction accuracy.
Nigeria availability at a glance
| Platform | Nigeria status | Documented money route | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bayse | Confirmed in documentation | Naira bank deposit → NGN account → own-name bank withdrawal. | Identity checks apply. Lagos permit evidence is not nationwide permission. [7] [1] [8] |
| Luno Prediction Markets | Confirmed in documentation | Nigerian bank deposit → buy USDC → Predictions wallet → ordinary USDC wallet → sell to NGN → bank. | Fully verified account required for bank funding; crypto-price markets, not a general local-event catalogue. [2] [9] [4] [5] [10] |
| HypaForecast | Available — crypto funding | Solana USDC direct to HypaForecast, or other supported crypto → LI.FI conversion → HypaForecast receives Solana USDC. Withdrawal to an external wallet. | Age 18+; no KYC or ID uploads. No NGN bank/card deposits. Suspicious-activity checks can temporarily hold a withdrawal. [16] [31] |
| Signal by Busha | Full route not verified | Busha account and supported Busha balance → Signal wallet. | Existing Busha KYC is used. A payout credited to Signal is not proof of a complete bank withdrawal route. [6] |
| Polymarket international | Full route not verified | Generic crypto deposit and address-based withdrawal are documented. | Nigeria is not named in the retrieved geographic restriction list; that alone does not clear every account or payment check. [11] [12] [13] |
| Kalshi | Full route not verified | International debit, wire and crypto options, where supported. | Nigeria is not the restricted country Niger. Nigerian account and payment-method approval still need confirmation. [14] [15] |
HypaForecast product information: 3 October 2026. Other platform product sources: 2 October 2026, except the Luno product guide checked on 3 October 2026; regulatory sources: 3 October 2026. These statuses describe product access and money routes, not legal approval in every state. HypaForecast details use first-party product information; “Confirmed in documentation” refers to the other platforms’ published instructions. No independent transaction test is claimed.
What “available in Nigeria” actually means
A market about Nigeria does not necessarily accept a trader located in Nigeria. An account that can sign in may still be unable to fund or withdraw. Use the following six checks as one connected journey, not six interchangeable badges.
Website access
Can you view the website or app?
Account eligibility
Does the product accept your residence and location?
Identity checks
Is KYC required? If so, can you meet the document checks?
Funding
Can your payment method reach the right balance?
Trading
Is your market open, with usable rules and liquidity?
Withdrawal
Can available funds reach your intended destination?
The useful question is not simply “Can I open the website?” It is “Can someone with my residence, identity documents and payment account complete every necessary step?” Physical location, residence and citizenship can matter differently. A Nigerian citizen living abroad and a non-citizen resident in Nigeria should not automatically assume the same onboarding requirements.
Naira and crypto routes, with different trade-offs
Bayse: a direct Naira route
Bayse's Nigerian guide describes account creation and trading with Naira, without requiring a separate crypto wallet. Its FAQ documents bank deposits using a fresh virtual account for each payment and withdrawals to an account matching the verified name. That makes the NGN route materially different from buying crypto on one service to fund another. [18] [1]
Prepare verification before moving money. Bayse's retrieved terms require valid identification before transactions and information before the first withdrawal. Requested checks can include a government ID, address evidence and payment-method verification such as BVN. Its support material also mentions NIN when resolving identity or name mismatches. Do not plan around a promise of “KYC only when withdrawing.” [7] [19]
There is a small but useful documentation discrepancy: the FAQ and dedicated limits page show a ₦200 minimum NGN deposit, while a marketing guide advertises starting with ₦100. Use the account's current deposit quote rather than the lower headline. The FAQ and limits page give a ₦500 minimum NGN withdrawal. [1] [20] [18]
Bayse describes markets across sports, politics, entertainment, crypto and the economy. Check the specific question, resolution source and exit price before choosing a position; a broad category list does not guarantee an active market for the event you want. [7]
Luno: Naira entry, USDC prediction trading
Luno explicitly offers Prediction Markets to customers in Nigeria and South Africa. It is a crypto-price product powered by Limitless. Do not confuse it with Luno's separate free Price Predict experience, or assume that access through Luno establishes eligibility for a direct Limitless account. [2]
The important currency distinction is that a Naira deposit does not mean the prediction itself is traded in Naira. The documented route uses an ordinary USDC wallet and a separate Predictions wallet. The prediction contracts operate through Limitless on Base; this is different from HypaForecast's Solana-USDC position asset. [9] [16]
Funding a Luno prediction
- Deposit NGN through the supported bank route.
- Buy USDC; check the conversion quote.
- Transfer USDC to the Predictions wallet.
- Buy a position using the amount you intend to risk.
Returning proceeds to your bank
- Sell or settle the position; funds must be available.
- Transfer USDC back to the ordinary wallet.
- Sell USDC to NGN through the supported pair.
- With BVN verified, withdraw NGN to your own bank.
The supported USDC/NGN pair documents the conversion step; neither a conversion rate nor instant execution is guaranteed. [9] [4] [5] [21] [10]
Luno's Nigeria-specific bank-deposit guide limits that route to fully verified Nigerian accounts. Its identity-document list for Nigerian citizens includes a national identity card with NIN, electronic identity card, voter card, Nigerian driving licence or valid Nigerian passport, together with a recent selfie. A foreign citizen resident in Nigeria should confirm their own document route rather than assume that list applies unchanged. [4] [3]
Luno separately requires BVN verification before withdrawal or external crypto sending, even though a deposit may be accepted without that check. Identity verification for a funding method and clearance to withdraw should therefore be checked separately. [21]
Early sale depends on available buyers, and buying or selling stops one minute before a market closes. [2]
HypaForecast: crypto funding without document verification
HypaForecast accepts Nigerian residents aged 18 or over and does not apply additional Nigeria-specific usage restrictions. It currently requires no KYC or identity-document uploads. You can sign up with email, a supported social account or a wallet; an external wallet is not required for registration or trading, but an external receiving address is needed when you withdraw. [16] [31]
Deposits currently use crypto only—not NGN bank transfers or cards. USDC on Solana can be sent directly to HypaForecast, without conversion through LI.FI. For other supported assets and networks, you send funds through the LI.FI route in the deposit flow. LI.FI handles the conversion, and HypaForecast receives the resulting USDC on Solana. [31]
Use the asset, network and transfer instructions shown for your selected route. For LI.FI-routed deposits, conversion is part of the deposit flow; you do not need to arrange a separate bridge or swap beforehand. The route offered depends on your chosen asset and amount; support for an asset does not guarantee that every transfer combination is executable at all times. [31] [32]
Direct Solana-USDC deposit: you send USDC on Solana → HypaForecast receives it → Solana-USDC trading balance. [31]
Other supported crypto: you send funds via the selected LI.FI route → LI.FI converts to USDC on Solana → HypaForecast receives USDC → trading balance. [31]
HypaForecast withdrawal: sell or settle a position → available balance → provide a compatible external receiving wallet address → request withdrawal. Your own wallet can be the destination. Check the withdrawal asset and network against the receiving wallet; support for a deposit route does not automatically establish the same withdrawal route. [31]
HypaForecast charges 1% taker and 0% maker fees. It adds no conversion markup; conversion charges are external-provider costs. The platform does not impose additional Nigeria-specific funding or withdrawal conditions, but provider routing constraints still matter. Review the quoted amount and external costs rather than treating the route as cost-free or unlimited. [16] [31] [32] [33]
Available-balance withdrawals are normally processed immediately or near-immediately. A withdrawal may be temporarily held if suspicious activity is detected; blockchain or provider processing can also affect final receipt. No KYC does not mean that security checks are absent. [16] [31]
Other platforms: what is known, and what is still missing
Signal by Busha
Signal's official guide describes connecting an existing Busha account and funding the Signal wallet from supported Busha balances, including Naira. It uses the identity verification already associated with that account. That means no separate Signal KYC in the described linked-account flow, not “no identity verification.” The guide covers news, sports, crypto, culture, economics and politics. [6]
The missing link is cash-out: a winning balance credited to Signal does not, by itself, establish the steps, limits and fees for moving it back through Busha and into your bank. Confirm those before funding. The Lagos register entry discussed below does not fill that operational gap. [6] [8]
Polymarket international
Nigeria is not named in the geographic restrictions retrieved for Polymarket's international product. Its rules nevertheless make physical location relevant and prohibit circumventing restrictions. A country being absent from the list is narrower evidence than a complete Nigerian admission and payment policy. [11]
The signup guide offers Google, email and wallet paths. It does not list a routine ID-upload step, but that is not a guarantee that identity checks can never arise. Nor does it prove that a separate exchange or payment provider will accept your Nigerian documents. [22]
Generic crypto deposit and withdrawal instructions are available: choose the asset and network, use the profile's correct deposit address, and select a compatible destination when withdrawing. A Nigerian-issued card, direct NGN deposit or bank payout is not confirmed by those generic instructions. Keep Polymarket international separate from Polymarket US. [12] [13]
A discovery interface does not create a new eligibility policy. Predera describes itself as an African discovery layer for Polymarket; that description does not establish different Nigerian ID, funding or withdrawal rules. Check the underlying service as well as the interface. [23]
For a deeper trading comparison after resolving access, see Polymarket vs HypaForecast.
Kalshi
Kalshi should not be described simply as “US-only.” Its international help page describes non-US access and payment options, subject to eligibility. Its Member Agreement lists Niger, not Nigeria, among restricted jurisdictions. It also preserves local-law conditions and Kalshi's discretion over membership and access. [14] [15]
That does not establish that a particular Nigerian resident, phone number, identity document or debit card will be accepted. General document guidance names passports and driving licences, but a general document category is not a Nigeria-specific approval. [24]
For international users, Kalshi describes debit, wire and crypto funding where available; the wire option has a stated US$1,000 minimum. Its international guidance does not offer ACH, PayPal or Venmo. Do not use a US ACH payout estimate to plan a Nigerian withdrawal. [15]
The Kalshi vs HypaForecast comparison covers the broader money path and trading trade-offs; this guide does not replace the country and account checks.
KYC: check the document and the stage
KYC means identity verification. “Supports KYC” is too vague when your real question is whether your document, name and address will work.
| Platform | What the evidence supports | What to confirm for your account |
|---|---|---|
| Bayse | Government-ID, address and payment checks; withdrawal name matching. [7] [19] | Requested checks before funding, exact accepted document, and matching bank-account holder name. |
| Luno | Nigeria-citizen document list plus selfie; fully verified account for Nigerian bank deposit. [3] [4] | Verification level, verified BVN before withdrawal, and a separate route for non-citizen residents. [21] |
| Signal | Linked Busha account supplies existing KYC. [6] | Which Busha verification level and documents apply; cash-out prerequisites. |
| Polymarket international | Several signup paths, without a routine ID-upload step in that guide. [22] | Account-specific checks and the separate funding/off-ramp provider's requirements. |
| Kalshi | General identity and document verification. [24] | Nigerian residence, phone and document acceptance—not just the country dropdown. |
| HypaForecast | No KYC or identity-document uploads are currently required. [31] | You must be 18+. An external service used to acquire or cash out crypto has its own requirements; suspicious-activity checks can temporarily hold HypaForecast withdrawals. |
Where verification or account eligibility is unclear, ask support a concrete question: “I reside in [state], hold [document type], and intend to deposit using [method]. Can I trade this product and withdraw to [destination], and what verification must happen first?” Do not send identity documents through an unverified contact or use another person's identity or bank details.
Funding costs: compare the whole route
A useful cost check follows the money: bank or provider charge + conversion cost + network or bridge cost + trading fee + spread/slippage + withdrawal cost. A zero fee at one step does not make the entire route free.
| Route or platform | Cost information relevant to Nigeria |
|---|---|
| Bayse NGN payments | The dedicated help page attributes a 1% deposit charge, minimum ₦5 and capped at ₦1,000, plus a ₦20 withdrawal charge, to payment providers. Those are not a complete trading-fee schedule. [20] |
| Luno NGN deposit | The bank-deposit guide states a 2% provider charge capped at ₦1,200, excluding VAT. Buying USDC and later selling back to NGN are separate from this deposit charge. [4] [25] |
| Luno Predictions | Internal USDC wallet transfers are free. Limitless trading fees are adaptive and payout claims incur network costs; review the order quote and Nigerian fee schedule. [26] [25] |
| Polymarket international | Some markets charge taker fees. “No trading fees anywhere” is not an accurate description of the current official schedule. Funding intermediaries may charge separately. [27] |
| Kalshi / Signal | Verify the actual order fee and supported payment route; the material here is insufficient for a complete Nigeria all-in quote. [15] [6] |
| HypaForecast | 1% taker, 0% maker. Direct Solana-USDC deposits need no conversion. For LI.FI-routed deposits, conversion costs are external-provider charges, with no HypaForecast conversion markup. Network costs and quoted output remain separate from the trading fee. No fixed all-in amount is promised. [16] [31] [33] |
Hypothetical HypaForecast fee example: buying 100 shares at 0.50 USDC per share costs 50 USDC before fees. A 1% taker fee is 0.50 USDC, so the purchase totals 50.50 USDC, excluding funding, conversion, network, withdrawal and any later sale costs. This is a calculation, not a Nigerian deposit quote or a claim that HypaForecast is cheapest. [16]
For crypto funding, check the asset, network, destination and minimum together. Do not assume that an asset named USDC can be sent on any chain to any platform. For bank funding, generate current payment details instead of reusing a previous transaction's account number. Bayse and Luno both describe transaction-specific bank instructions. [1] [4]
Withdrawal: a winning position is not yet money in your bank
Keep these stages separate: a position is sold or settles; proceeds become available; a withdrawal is requested; the platform processes it; the bank or blockchain completes delivery. An order that has not sold is not an available withdrawal balance.
Bayse's help centre explicitly distinguishes a successful platform withdrawal from final bank credit. The bank session reference or blockchain transaction hash is useful when tracing a delay. Its FAQ requires the withdrawal bank account to match the verified name. [28] [1]
For Luno, moving USDC out of the Predictions wallet only moves it into the ordinary USDC wallet. A Naira bank withdrawal needs the separate USDC/NGN conversion and NGN withdrawal steps, with BVN verified. [10] [21] Its Nigeria withdrawal guide gives a general 6–12 hour bank-receipt estimate, with possible delays, and requires an account in your own name. [9] [5]
For HypaForecast, supply an external receiving wallet address, including your own wallet, and verify the payout asset and network before submitting the withdrawal. This describes a wallet route, not a direct Nigerian-bank payout. The deposit-side LI.FI integration should not be read as a list of supported withdrawal networks. [31]
For Signal, Polymarket and Kalshi, resolve the remaining gaps in the table before treating a balance as cashable to your intended destination. Ask about minimums, holds, limits, fees and who handles a failed transfer. Never treat “instant processing” as a promise of instant final receipt.
Nigeria's regulatory context: check the product and the state
There is no basis here for saying either that all prediction markets are legal throughout Nigeria or that all are illegal.
The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority's operator register lists Trence Software Tech Limited / Bayse under Gaming Facilitation Permit (Prediction Market) and Busha Digital Limited / Signal under Gaming Facilitation Permit. These entries are Lagos regulatory evidence—not nationwide permissions or guarantees about every market, customer or withdrawal. [8]
The Lagos regulator's explanation of the November 2024 Supreme Court decision describes state authority over gaming and lottery activities, with the federal position for the Federal Capital Territory treated separately. Your state and the particular product therefore should not disappear behind a generic “Nigeria available” label. [29]
Virtual-asset oversight is another layer. The Presidency's July 2026 coordination announcement preserves agencies' statutory roles and distinguishes securities-related activity from non-security payment, settlement and custody activity. Permission to provide a crypto service should not be treated as automatic approval for every prediction contract offered alongside it. [30]
This is product-access information, not individual legal advice. Where legal eligibility is uncertain, obtain confirmation for the exact product and your location before committing funds.
How to choose without relying on a “best” ranking
For a Naira-in/Naira-out event-market route, examine Bayse's current account requirements and the specific market's exit conditions. For crypto-price predictions within a verified Luno account, compare Luno's USDC conversion costs and early-exit conditions. These are different use cases, not an overall winner. [1] [18] [2] [9]
For crypto funding without identity-document uploads, HypaForecast accepts Solana USDC directly. Other supported crypto is converted through LI.FI before HypaForecast receives Solana USDC. Withdrawals go to an external receiving wallet. Compare the current route quote and trading costs, and prepare a compatible withdrawal address. It is not an NGN bank-deposit option. [31]
For an existing Busha account, check Signal's full withdrawal path. For Polymarket or Kalshi, confirm the unresolved Nigerian admission, identity and money-route details before comparing prices. A more attractive market or lower headline fee does not repair an unusable withdrawal route. [6] [11] [14]
Finally, read the exact market question and settlement source. Look at the price available for your intended order size, not just the headline probability. Decide whether you can hold until settlement if an early exit is unavailable. For a wider named-platform shortlist, see Kalshi alternatives.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use prediction markets without buying crypto?
Bayse documents an NGN bank route without a separate crypto wallet. Luno supports Nigerian bank funding, but its prediction positions use USDC, so “bank-funded” is not the same as “no crypto involved.” [18] [9] [4]
Is Polymarket banned in Nigeria?
Nigeria is not named in the international product's restriction list retrieved for this guide. That supports a narrow geographic-policy observation—not a conclusion about every account, payment provider or Nigerian legal requirement. Do not bypass a restriction. [11]
Is Nigeria on Kalshi's restricted-country list?
The agreement retrieved here names Niger, not Nigeria. International access nevertheless depends on the agreement, verification, platform policy and applicable law; a Nigerian user's complete route remains unverified in this guide. [14]
Can I use a Nigerian national ID?
Luno publishes a Nigeria-specific list that includes national ID with NIN. Bayse describes national-ID and payment verification, with NIN mentioned in support guidance. Neither guarantees approval, and those documents should not be assumed accepted by every other platform. [3] [7] [19]
Can I withdraw directly to a Nigerian bank?
Bayse and Luno document NGN bank withdrawals with name-matching requirements. Luno's prediction proceeds first return through its ordinary USDC wallet and conversion to NGN. A generic crypto-withdrawal button on another service is not evidence of direct bank payout. [1] [9] [5]
Can Nigerian residents use HypaForecast?
Yes. HypaForecast accepts Nigerian residents aged 18 or over. No KYC or identity-document uploads are currently required. You can deposit USDC on Solana directly. Other supported crypto goes through a LI.FI conversion route, after which HypaForecast receives USDC on Solana. Withdrawals require an external receiving wallet address; NGN bank and card deposits are not supported. [31]
Do I need a wallet to sign up or withdraw on HypaForecast?
Email and supported social signup do not require you to bring an external wallet. Withdrawal is different: you must provide a compatible external receiving wallet address, which can be your own wallet. Check the payout asset and network before sending. [16] [31]
